Are Constitutionalists like Bible thumpers using a very old book to try & dictate what the writers intended?

I've yet to get a clear picture of what Tea Party people can do to help the USA economy instead they quote the Constitution like it's a Bible with no amendments in 250 years, and try and maneuver the Constitution to support whatever that particular faction of the Tea Party wants. No one really has a plan and for the most part. It just sounds like chaos, absence of government, no taxes, and anarchy. Not very attractive when we all share a country together, and need to find the best ways to support our great culture.
