If your operating system is Windows XP, then the drivers disk is not needed (but recommend you use it anyway). All you need to do is plug one end of the usb cable into the monitor and the other into a usb port on the PC. The ends will be different, the one that plugs into the monitor is almost square in shape, while the end you plug into your PC is flat in shape.
